No problem! And thank you!

I’ve taken it upon myself to organize the ~6000 emails from the past few years in my work inbox. It’s surprisingly cathartic.
So far, I’m down to about 3800. Most of the difference comes from facebook notification posts, advertisements, and useless mailing list stuff. I’ve also started sorting what’s left. We’ll see how long this takes me.
Anonymous asked: You're welcome! Do most priests reach a point where they 100% know for sure if they are called to the priesthood? Also, I understand the sense of belonging you describe. Sometimes you just "know".
I think so. If you’ve made it through all those years of applying and seminary and stuff, constantly discerning with your formation director, I think you would be pretty sure. You do occasionally hear stories of priests leaving the priesthood to get married or something, but I don’t think it’s that common. All of the priests I know (which isn’t very many) are 100% sure.

Today is the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, which celebrates the apparition of Mary to three shepherd children in Portugal in 1917. The village of Fatima has been an important place of pilgrimage ever since.
